Please join the Chester Baroque Orchestra as they present a free holiday concert. The group, which is in its fifth year together, performs under the leadership of Musical Director Dr. Richard Maximoff, an internationally-acclaimed violist/violinist and founder of the Grammy-award winning Hampton String Quartet. The program will feature works by Vivaldi and Corelli.
Baroque music may sound simple to the ear, but it is actually rather intricate to play, as it relies upon the accuracy and beauty of chords and the overall sound of the string orchestra playing in harmony. The Chester Baroque Orchestra is a non-profit organization that encourages players of all ages and levels to come together and hone their craft while learning this beautiful and complex form of music.
While admission to the concert is free, donations are greatly appreciated. All donations made will benefit “Lily’s Friends of Type One Diabetes”. After the concert there will be a cheese & wine social.
