Warren County 4-H Teen Council Hosts 7th Annual Renaissance Faire Sept. 24-25

Warren County 4-H Teen Council's Renaissance Faire

Harmony, NJ – Warren County 4-H Teen Council is hosting its 7th Annual Renaissance Faire at the Warren County Fairgrounds, September 24 and 25 from 12-6 p.m.  Tickets prices remain the same as the past few years’ prices!  Admission is $10 for adults $10 and $5 for children 5-12 (children 4 and under are still admitted free).

Join revelers, knights, archers, wenches, nobles, greyhounds, and more this year for live falconry shows, combat lessons, and live cultural experiences as well as interactive medieval games to win valor ribbons to be knighted by the king!  New this year is the Clover Pub that will be serving up Colony Meadery’s best mead!  Funding has been made possible, in part, by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission.

Proceeds from the Renaissance Faire go towards leadership programs such as the 4-H Teen Russian/American International Leadership (TRAIL) Program, which was created to bring 4-H to Russia and foster positive relations between American and Russian teens.

So come, step back in time when a cultural movement known as the Renaissance evolved; a time when da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Galileo transformed the world with their art and science. When Shakespeare’s romance flourished with tragic results; and when advances in agriculture transformed the backbone of society.  Who knows, maybe you will get a lesson from da Vinci in building trebuchets!  Check out the faire’s website at http://www.warren4-hrenfaire.org

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills.

If you’d like more information about local volunteer opportunities or joining 4-H, please contact Warren County 4-H Agent Alayne Torretta at (908) 475-6502.  You can check out the program’s website at www.warren4-h.org
