A picnic area, walking and exercise path, and Warren County history museum are located at this premiere site along the historic Morris Canal Greenway.
Jenny Jump State Forest is a state forest in the U.S. state of New Jersey operated by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Parks and Forestry.
For most of its 27 miles, the trail passes through rural landscapes, northern deciduous forests and wetlands, and small towns in Warren and Sussex Counties. The trail cuts under the majestic Hainseburg viaduct, once part of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. The trail has a wide, firm cinder base suitable for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing.
Historical park. The public may access the river here for fishing or to launch small watercraft such as canoes or kayaks. Special events held throughout the year, including the Concert in the Barn Series in the Summer, and Christmas in the Country in December.
Roaring Rock Park, another of Washington Township's beautiful natural parks, reflects a local story about the loud roar that can be heard as the water of Brass Castle Creek rushes past certain boulders during periods of very high water. The land for this park, which covers a few hundred acres, is set aside for passive use, including hiking and picnicking. Fishing is allowed in the creek, which is stocked with trout.
