Starting August 30, 2017

"August has passed, and yet summer continues by force to grow days. They sprout secretly between the chapters of the year, covertly included between its pages." - Jonathan Safran Foer, American novelist

While Labor Day weekend marks the traditional end of summer, we know that summer really isn't over yet - there's lots of summertime fun left to grab with both hands, and hold on to for a little bit longer! But, things are starting to wind down. The daily schedule at the award-winning  Land of Make Believe (pictured) ends Monday, but they'll also be open next weekend, Sept. 9&10, before closing for the season. Our community pools and lakes for the most part are wrapping up their seasons this holiday weekend, so head there for one last swim. And read on for more ideas on how to use your precious recreation time. We'll leave you with this Labor Day food for thought from writer Alan Cohen: "There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither." So enjoy your holiday weekend, and Happy Wanderings!
