"Football is like life - it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority." - Vince Lombardi

Like it or not, pro football is America's favorite sport, and its season culminates this Sunday. Want to watch the Big Game in public? Below are a few suggestions of destinations offering specials, but by all means, reach out to your favorite local spot to see how they are marking Super Bowl Sunday. And if you're enjoying the event in private and seeking fresh appetizer ideas, you can taste light versions of appetizers at Villa Milagro Vineyard, and the recipes are posted on its website.

Not into football? Read on for other activities good for body and soul, and you'll see plenty of venues offering live music throughout the area all weekend. And it's not too early to plan for how to celebrate Valentine's Day with your sweetheart!
