We are in full-blown summer mode now. Looking for things to do, looking for ways to keep cool, looking for where to wander! Why, right here in Warren County, where you can take the kids to Land of Make Believe amusement park in Hope, which includes the Pirate's Cove waterpark pictured above. Or book tickets for a train ride along the scenic Delaware River, including the special excusions this weekend and next with Thomas the Tank Engine (read on for details). And don't forget to plan ahead for the upcoming Warren County Farmers' Fair - see the More Things to Do section below so you can line up tickets for all the special events, and see which fair contests you want to enter. Dinner served 6-8pm with authentic Ghanaian food, followed by Sampson Oboh of Ghana 4E’s Ghanian Team sharing about Ghana and his journey to help his people. He will make a short presentation about our vision and mission and why it is so important to bring it to Ghana. Our Friday Open Mic is 7-10pm outdoors (weather permitting).

Warren County History Museums Open

Spend an afternoon visiting the Jim and Mary Lee Museum at Plane 9 West in the Port Warren Heritage Area, Stewartsville, and the Warren County History Museum at Morris Canal Bread Lock Park in New Village, too. These two museums, both located at sites on the route of the old Morris Canal, are open and staffed by volunteers today, 1-4pm. Learn how the canal boats moved up and down the hills of northern New Jersey as they traversed the state from from Port Delaware – AKA Phillipsburg – to Jersey City. Walk the towpath trail, and learn about other aspects of Warren County's rich history.

Get Ready for the Warren County Farmers' Fair!

There are just a few more weeks until the start of the 80th Annual Warren County Farmers' Fair featuring the Hot Air Balloon Festival and the 20th Annual Traditional Arts Expo, and just a few more days to order advance tickets for the nightly Power Events: two Demolition Derbies, Truck Pulls, Tractor Pulls, and the Mud Bog Competition (pictured here - you have to see it to believe it!) that caps fair week. Those tickets must be ordered by July 10, so head directly to the fair's page at this link where you'll find all the details on these events plus a link to download the order form.
