These two museums, both located at sites on the route of the old Morris Canal, are open and staffed by volunteers today, 1-4pm. Learn how the canal boats moved up and down the hills of northern New Jersey as they traversed the state from from Port Delaware – AKA Phillipsburg – to Jersey City. Walk the towpath trail, and learn about other aspects of Warren County's rich history, from the early Native Indians inhabitants to the Colonial-era iron industry, the Morris Canal era, the days when Thomas Edison was busy inventing and experimenting nearby, and more.
