You'll forgive us if we get a little crazy like Ralph at this time of the year, but whenever the 13th of the month lands on a Friday, strange things happen in one corner of Warren County. That's right, we celebrate the horror movie Friday the 13th, filmed right here. Read all about it and see what's in store if you dare to head here this Friday. Meanwhile, a new event makes its debut on Saturday - the first-ever Phillipsburg Pork Roll Palooza - and we've got all sorts of other fun in store for you. Happy Wanderings!

In addition to the usual harvest activities, this weekend Donaldson's honors veterans, active military personnel, and first responders (police officers, firefighters, and EMTs)! FREE admission to enter the military-themed, 9-acre corn maze for military and first responders with proper ID (10am-4pm). $1 from each corn maze ticket this season will be donated to Welcome Home Vets of NJ.

Saturday, Oct. 14 only: FREE 15-minute ‘Portrait of Love’ family photography session on the farm (12-4pm) for military, active and retired, and their families.

Fall Fest Weekends at Tranquillity Farms

On the vine pumpkin-picking, hayrides, pumpkin launchers and corn cannons, corn maze, bounce pillow and cow grain are among the fun waiting for you and your family. No admission fee to visit the farm, and some activities are free, but others have fees.

The Great Pumpkin Train

In the month of October, every Delaware River Railroad Excursion train is The Great Pumpkin Train. Every child gets to pick their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. $18/adult; $12/child. Trips leave 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm and 3:30pm.

Pick your own pumpkins & apples; tractor drawn hayrides; corn maze ($5); wine tasting, wine cellar tours; games for everyone! Live music from 1-6pm, and food available for purchase on the deck from 11am-5pm.

Kids Halloween Paint Night at Rutherfurd Hall

Kids learn step by step how to paint a spooky witch landscape. Canvas, paint, instruction and Philly Pretzel tray included. Drop off children ages 8 and older, or accompany your child 7 and under.

WCARTS Meeting Featuring Hal Murray

Wood turning and stone sculpting are reductive processes yielding three-dimensional art. Hal Murray will present and describe how wooden vessels are made on a lathe, aspects of a quality wooden vessel, and present a philosophy that vessels can be metaphors for you.

8th Annual Warren County Hall of Fame Dinner

Five outstanding individuals representing various backgrounds and accomplishments will be inducted into the Warren County Hall of Fame at its 8th annual dinner. Presented by the Warren County Community College Foundation, the event is open to the public. Tables may be reserved. Proceeds from the event benefit students in need, as well as special programs at the college. Pictured, left to right, are inductees Dr. Robert Friedman; Sal Simonetti; Kathleen Halpin; John McCann; and Tomás Gonzales. Posthumous inductees are Vice Admiral John Bulkeley, one of the Navy's most highly decorated heroes, and Blairstown ground-breaker John I. Blair.
