FINAL PERFORMANCES! Centenary Stage Company's production of Disney's NEWSIES The Musical wraps up this week after a run that is attracting great reviews.
NOTE: Saturday's matinee (Dec. 9 at 2pm) will be a special "sensory friendly" performance suitable for children with autism.
With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman and book by Harvey Fierstein, the show is based on the Disney Film written by Bob Tzudiker and Noni White.
It is New York City 1899 and Jack Kelly and his ragtag of newsboys make a meager living selling newspapers on the city streets. But when the prices of "papers" are hiked and the newsies are hung out to dry, there is nothing left to do but "open the gates and seize the day"!
