The fall rush is on so get ready for hunting seas now by taking your Hunter Education class at the hatchery. You must have your completed homework with you at the class and be pre-registered. Register for your class at www.nj.wildlifelicense.com. After you pass the class, stop by the front desk and buy your hunting license. Youth hunting licenses are free!
Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center
State trout hatchery visitor center offers exhibits and self-guided tour. Hiking trails on wildlife management area. 4000-acre tract is open to hunting and fishing. Pequest River is trout-stocked; angler parking area at Rt. 46 entrance.
