
Join a 2-3 mile guided hike over moderate terrain with a NJ Woodland Steward and look for the creatures of the twilight: moths, lightning bugs and bats! Learn about natural bat habitat and why some bats are in jeopardy. A short informal presentation will precede the hike. Wear comfortable shoes. Bug spray is recommended but please apply before arriving at the trout hatchery. For ages 8 and above.

Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center
State trout hatchery visitor center offers exhibits and self-guided tour. Hiking trails on wildlife management area. 4000-acre tract is open to hunting and fishing. Pequest River is trout-stocked; angler parking area at Rt. 46 entrance.
