This engaging art activity invites children aged 6-10 to explore the fascinating world of monarch butterflies through creative expression. Using acrylic paints in vibrant orange and white on striking black paper to paint monarch butterflies, participants will learn about their unique life cycle and metamorphosis along the way.
The workshop will incorporate educational elements about the importance of monarchs and their role in pollination, while children create their own color pencil garden to create a setting for their painted Monarchs. This hands-on activity fosters creativity, environmental awareness, and an appreciation for one of nature's most iconic species. Space is limited. Please register all children participating.
It is recommended that parents bring a smock or old t-shirt for their child to wear. Parents are expected to remain with their child during the duration of the class.
