
Chuck Wood is a multi-instrumentalist with more than 45 years of experience in music and the arts. He is a composer, recording artist and live performer that has toured the US extensively with various projects. His unique original compositions are heavily influenced by the music of West Africa, Latin America and Brazil as well as American blues, R&B and jazz.
Chuck is currently performing live with a band made up of friends from his native state of New Jersey.
World beat is a fusion of western pop and rock music with international indigenous instruments and influences. The genre rose to prominence in the 1980s when recording artists, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Sting, David Byrne and others began incorporating ethnic sounds and instruments into their recordings.
