Did you know that old growth, fully mature forests were nearly nonexistent in New Jersey? Join New Jersey Highlands Coalition and Musconetcong Watershed Association, and naturalist and author Jared Rosenbaum, of Wild Ridge Plants, LLC, as he leads the group on an off-trail adventure on Scott’s Mountain in the vicinity of Merrill Creek Reservoir to discover a site where the characteristics of old growth forests can be seen.

The Musconetcong Watershed Association leads hiking and paddling trips and hosts River Talks on a wide variety of topics. We have a 4 Mile Run/Walk for the River the first Sunday in May and a Wine Tasting Event along the River the first Saturday in October.
