Come if you dare! The Hackettstown Historical Society is once again hosting Latern Tours and Ghostly Tales.
Make your reservation by messaging the historic society through Facebook or info@hackettstownhistory.com Please give your name, email address, phone number, number of adults and number of children under 12 in your party. The historical society will contact you in order to confirm the time and day, and how many people are in your party.
Please bring you ticket payments in cash on the night of the tour and plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time in order to check in and get organized.
The tour is almost one (1) mile in length within the relatively flat Hackettstown historic district. There will be a number of stops along the way with details of known, previously investigated paranormal activity, unusual events, and relatively unknown Hackettstown History.
Wear weather-appropriate clothing, including sturdy, comfortable walking shoes. Lanterns will be passed out and please also bring a personal flashlight for each person. The tours normally take 1 - 1 1/2 hours. depending on your pace, amount of questions, and any extra details your guide may have knowledge of. The sidewalks are not all completely even and are a mix of concrete and flagstone with some gaps and unevenness in various areas.
Tours are $12 per person. Children under 12, accompanied by a paid adult are free. Reservations required.
