James McMurtry is no stranger to Roy’s Hall and known for his powerhouse performances, he tours yeear-round makinh a stop in Blairstown, NJ.
The son of one of America’s most celebrated novelists, James McMurtry followed the family’s tradition of being a master storyteller who relates his tales in verse and music. Part of the Texas singer/songwriter community, he has a gift for character studies, documenting lives not in perfect balance, and offering political commentary on how the choices of the powerful impact the lives of ordinary folks.
James McMurtry’s The Black Dog & The Wandering Boy will be available across digital platforms, compact disc, and standard black vinyl. A limited khaki color vinyl edition, as well as a limited compact disc edition, both signed by McMurtry will be available via Independent Retailers.
