Make a Blanket Day with Project Linus of Hunterdon and Warren Counties, NJ Chapter

Saturday, May 31, 2025 -
10:00am to 2:00pm

Project Linus provides love, security, warmth & comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets/afghans. All crocheters, knitters, quilter or fleece knotters are welcome to come and go all day at this 4th Annual Make-A-Blanket Day in Bloomsbury Fire House. The group's goal is 100 blankets for local children.

You can donate your time, materials or monetarily to this great cause. National MABD began in 1999 after the terrible events that took place at Columbine High School with a suddenly need for very large number of blankets, and quickly. Chapters came to the rescue, holding “blanket bees” all over the country and then sending those blankets to local chapters in Denver. It was a huge success and it was decided that an annual MABD that local chapters could host activities in their area to promote Project Linus and to increase their inventory of warm cuddly blankets. An upwards of 75,000 to 100,000 blankets are donated yearly to National MABD!
