
Watercolor instructor Doris Ettlinger will lead a class on the art of painting with watercolor on reflective surfaces. For ages 15 and up.
Participants should bring the following:
-A Simple shiny object- silver, copper or brass. Also bring a piece of soft fabric to place it on.
- Pencil, kneaded eraser, mixing tray, palette for paints, paper towels, water container, and something to prop your paper on a tilt.
-Paper: 11 x 14 pad of 140lb cold or hot press watercolor paper
- Brushes: Silver black velvet round brushes #8, #10 (or another brand of NATURAL BRISTLE brushes that hold water and come to a good point), and a #10 synthetic round brush
-Paints: preferably Winsor & Newton, Holbein, Daniel Smith or Sennelier. You don't need every color listed. We can share.
For silver metal: Payne's Gray, Cadmium Orange
For copper: Cad Yellow, Cad Scarlet (or Vermillion), Mineral Violet (or Violet), Ultramarine Blue
For Brass: New Gamboge (Or Quinacridone Gold), Permanent Rose (or Quinacridone Rose) Mineral Violet (or Violet) Hookers Green (or Viridian) Burnt Sienna, UltraMarine Blue.
