Solar Telescope Viewing @ Northeast Branch Library

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 2:00pm

Warren County Library invites everyone to view the sun through a solar telescope while learning about the universe.  During this solar observing session, three types of telescopes will be used to view the sun including white light to see sunspots, the light of hydrogen to see surface detail and solar prominences & flares normally only visible during total eclipses. A spectroscope will also be on site to show the spectrum of the Sun, which reads its chemical composition.

This program is best for ages 8 & up, registration required.

*If weather is poor there will be an indoor presentation about the sun, telescopes, & eclipses.
