Warren County conducts its annual Patriot Day observance, honoring all victims and residents of Warren County who perished in the Terrorist Attacks of 9/11/01 as well as Warren County Emergency Service personnel who have died in the line of duty.
A special feature this year is a "Tribute in Lights" on Friday evening (9/11/20) - a time of individual reflection, sponsored by the Washington Borough Fire Department in honor of a fire fighter who perished in the line of duty 40 years ago. There will be a formal program on Saturday afternoon (9/12/20) at 1pm. The keynote speaker will be Mike Lamonaco, son of slain State Trooper Philip Lamonaco, who is now a Trooper himself, and member of the Terrorism Task Force.
This ceremony will be attended by first responders; fire, law enforcement and emergency medical service personnel from throughout Warren County. All are welcome to attend this observance, held at the Warren County Emergency Services & 9/11 Memorial located between Warren County Technical School and Warren County Community College. Free parking is available at the Technical School.
