
The third and final Warren County hot air balloons fest of the year will take place at Warren County Community College in Washington Township September 21 – 22. Enjoy a variety of food trucks, vendors, children’s entertainment and games, live bands and DJ, tethered rides, and of course, a mass hot air balloon launch, taking off each night between 5:15 – 6 pm (weather permitting).
Daily drone demonstrations will be happening at WCCC’s Drone Port, whose program boasts one of the top Uncrewed Systems Programs in the nation. Students learn how to pilot, design, develop, maintain and repair drones, in addition to AI and Robotics and are used in a variety of professions.
Join Henry Skirbts, self-made Renaissance man, in the Timeline of Technology, a spirited journey through the past, present, and future of Warren County, and get ready to celebraete the upcoming Bicentennial in 2025. Take part in a scavenger hunt or join Henry at the Fascination Place to build paper rockets.
Saturday features the Hot Rods & Hot Air Balloons Car & Truck Show, from 2-5 pm, with all registration fees supporting the Fred T. Grotenhuis Veterans Community Center project. Pre-registration is just $15 and includes entry into the event for you and your riders. Registration day of the event is $20.
The Autocades vintage video games trailer is pulling in Sunday, with $10 wristbands or $20 family special. Check out the bounce house, $3, or try your hand at ax throwing all weekend. Sunday also features the magic and comedy of Balloons the Clown. Game tickets are $5.
There are also free games, crafts and mini golf, along with Clancy & Lolli balloon animals, face painting, and learning circus tricks with Grins.
Enjoy music from the Stevie Vicks Duo on Saturday, from 3 - 6 pm and TimeWhys on Sunday from 3 - 6pm.
Each evening ends with a balloon glow featuring the Fred G. Monster balloon, along with other select balloons, beginning around 7:15 pm. New sponsor, Hunterdon Hospital will be unveiling their very own hot air balloon, which will be tethering on Saturday night.
The glow will be accompanied by DJ GOLDN, hosting a dance party from 6 - 8 pm, playing music for the occasion and handing out patriotic glow bracelets for the show.

Gates open at 2 pm and the festivities run until 8 pm each evening. Pets, food and alcoholic beverages are prohibited (with the exception of snacks & beverages for small children). Fest attendees are welcomes to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and small games like quoits and corn hole.
Proceeds from the event support the Warren Community College Foundation, the Fred T. Grotenhuis Veterans Community Center project and the Fred Grotenhuis scholarships.
Limited full flight hot air balloon rides are available. Purchase tickets at the Balloon Ride Tent for tethered rides.
