Have you wanted to get into fly fishing but didn’t know where to start? Join the staff at the Pequest Natural Resource Education Center for a full-day Fly Fishing Bootcamp. We will cover everything from regulations, gear, casting, where to go, and much more. The class will finish on our education pond where you get to put what you learn into action. All equipment will be provided, or you can bring your own. Please bring lunch and water.
For ages 12 years and above. Participants 16 years and younger must be accompanied by a participating and ticket holding adult. All participants 16 and older are required to have a NJ fishing license and trout stamp.
Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center
State trout hatchery visitor center offers exhibits and self-guided tour. Hiking trails on wildlife management area. 4000-acre tract is open to hunting and fishing. Pequest River is trout-stocked; angler parking area at Rt. 46 entrance.
