
Shippen Manor's season opens with annual museum tours celebrating Warren County's Bicentennial. Docents will be available to greet visitors and share the history of the Manor, its people, and the local industrial history of Oxford. Tours are offered on the main floor of the building. The last tour begins at 3:30pm.
Oct. 5 - Museum tours and Early American Fiber Arts: the Monmouth Co. Historical Association's Historic Sewing Group with us. They will be spinning, weaving, doing embroidery, hand-sewing, knitting, quilting and more on our lower porch, lower level and even on the main floor.
Oct. 12 - Autumn at Shippen Manor tours: Come see the museum decorated for the fall
There is no admission to the museum. This is a family-friendly historic site. Limited accessible parking available on site.
Shippen Manor
Shippen Manor is a c.1754 iron master’s residence built by Dr. William Shippen, Sr. The Shippens were socially prominent members of a wealthy Philadelphia family. The museum offers guided tours on the 1st and 2nd Sundays from May to December, except on holidays.
