Since its genesis in 2014, Big Beat Big Band has been driven by the continuous pursuit of creating music that sounds good and feels good. By bringing modern influences from the worlds of funk, jazz, and R&B to the big band format, the ensemble deftly blends the old and cherished with the new and exciting.
The resul is reminiscent of Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra with other notable influences, like Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Thundercat, and Jill Scott.
