Just because winter is here doesn’t mean your trail adventures have to hibernate. With the right gear and a little extra situational awareness, winter hiking can be one of the most rewarding times to explore the outdoors.
Join the team at the Pequest Natural Resource Education Center for a fun, hands-on class all about hiking safely and comfortably in winter conditions covering the extra equipment you’ll want in your pack, what to watch for on snowy and icy trails, and how to stay warm and prepared.
The program includes both classroom instruction and time out on the trails, so be sure to dress for the weather and come ready to explore. For ages 12 years and older.
