Park Naturalists will be leading a slow and steady walk around the meadows of Bread Lock Park, introducing participants to the plants that live there, with a focus on plant blindness, a term used when people lose connection with the plants growing around them. This phenomena is becoming all too common, and it can negatively impact mental health and the health of the environment.
Following the walk, there will be a short workshop under the pavillion, learning to use Mugwort stalks as natural insect repllent! All ages and activity levels are welcome!
Bread Lock Park
A picnic area, walking and exercise trails and a StoryWalk give visitors a chance to enjoy nature while walking the grounds in this park. The full-size canal boat replica takes you back in time to when mules pulled the laden boats along the canal.
