The Jazz standards canon has remained largely unchanged since the 1970s. The Hip Replacements, long-time area musicians, decided it was time to reimagine it for the 21st century.
This is a post-genre jam band playing funk-rock-jazz mashups of recent hits. The group reinvents songs from artists such as Sam Smith, Sting, Lewis Capaldi, Maroon Five, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Silk Sonic, The B-52’s, John Mayer and The Weeknd and many more.
The band includesGary Stapes on keyboards; Michael Matthes on Sax, Ken Papa on guitar, Al Kratzer on bass, Ruben Ariola percussion. These guyss have a collective 250 years of playing experience under their belts and they are far from finished!
