After a hot weather hiatus, the series resumes on Sunday, October 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. with the music of Charlie Zahn, a famous performer of Celtic, maritime and traditional American music.
This is the first time Zahn has played in the historic church, having played in nearby Morris County as well as up and down the East Coast. Along with backup performers, the Canadian Zahn is one of the few performers invited to sing live with Scotland’s Black Watch Regiment Pipes and Drums.
Sunday, October 18 welcomes Jan Findlay back for her annual visit from 2 to 4 p.m. with pianist Tomoko Ohno and other musicians. Findlay is a noted local jazz singer who frequently plays Madison’s Shanghai Jazz. Jan and her husband, known as Jan and Bob, have also sang folk music in Morris County.
The Arts at St. Luke’s will showcase local talent in November and host the Warren County Community Singers along with other musician to sing carols during Hope Moravian Lantern tour the second Saturday in December.
The concerts are made possible by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts through the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
