Join Jared Rosenbaum of Wild Ridge Plants for a gentle walk exploring how land use history —farming, logging, grazing— shapes the native plant diversity and weeds we see today. Learn to read the landscape’s clues, from trees to rocks, and discover what they reveal about a site’s past and present. The walk begins at Wild Ridge Plants and is largely on a paved road.
Jared Rosenbaum is a botanist with extensive experience in stewardship and monitoring of natural communities. He is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner by the Society and co-owner of Wild Ridge Plants, a native plant nursery in Alpha, NJ.
Cost: $55. Capacity of 20 participants
