Just about, anyway, with Halloween-themed events this weekend and in the "Plan Ahead" section too. Yeagers Flooring on Belvidere Road in Lopatcong Township has been doing a great job decorating their front yard for the spooky season the past few years, drive by and check out their display we've pictured here. Shippen Manor Virtual Concert: The VooDUDES

This week's Shippen Manor Virtual Lawn Concert is The VooDUDES. Mixing the rhythms of Mardi Gras and the Gulf Coast with Rhythm & Blues and Country, The VooDUDES have made a ruckus down through 30 years of recording and touring internationally. The New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE wrote that hearing The VooDUDES was like finding long-lost cousins. Most of their listeners would agree that the band is nothing if not "big fun!" The virtual concerts are offered in lieu of the annual Lawn Concert Series that was sidelined in the COVID-19 pandemic. The Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of the Department of Land Preservation, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, invites you to enjoy online concerts by the bands that were scheduled to perform. Drive is about a community of truckers in a small town in Iowa. They are all forced to shift gears when they lose their jobs to self-driving vehicles and when Gloria becomes the only trucker in town still employed, soon resentments begin to surface. Set in a future not far down the road, Drive explores our collective fears. Admission is by donation at the door, not required, but always encouraged. Advance reservations require a $5 minimum donation.

Shippen Manor Virtual Concert: The VooDUDES

This week's Shippen Manor Virtual Lawn Concert is The VooDUDES. Mixing the rhythms of Mardi Gras and the Gulf Coast with Rhythm & Blues and Country, The VooDUDES have made a ruckus down through 30 years of recording and touring internationally. The New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE wrote that hearing The VooDUDES was like finding long-lost cousins. Most of their listeners would agree that the band is nothing if not "big fun!" The virtual concerts are offered in lieu of the annual Lawn Concert Series that was sidelined in the COVID-19 pandemic. The Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of the Department of Land Preservation, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, invites you to enjoy online concerts by the bands that were scheduled to perform. With the purchase of any Fall activity ticket, all children in costume will be given a list of scavenger hunt trick-or-treating clues, which will lead you to different trick-or-treating stations around the farm where staff will hand out treats!

A Halloween cabaret of scary good songs. Bring the kids for the costume parade, events tables, and more! ALL attendees must complete below screening questionnaire and submit to CSC staff at check in on the day.

Hometown Halloween in Washington Borough

Get dressed up and into the Spirit of Halloween! Hometown Halloween is family fun for kids of all ages featuring a kids costume contest and a pet costume contest. Dove Environmental will offer spooky crafts to make and take. Trick or Treat at participating downtown merchants, and DJ Mitch Hess will be spinning some Halloween tunes.

Barefoot Grape Stomping at Four Sisters Winery

Are you ready for a smashing good time? It's a one-of-a-kind experience, sure to intoxicate all your senses. Formal wine tasting followed by dinner and dessert, paired with two dessert wines. An educational wine cellar tour describes the processes of wine making and then off with the shoes and socks for the ever-popular Barefoot Grape Stomping! CSC Women Playwrights Series: Drive by Deborah Yarchun

Drive is about a community of truckers in a small town in Iowa. They are all forced to shift gears when they lose their jobs to self-driving vehicles and when Gloria becomes the only trucker in town still employed, soon resentments begin to surface. Set in a future not far down the road, Drive explores our collective fears. Admission is by donation at the door, not required, but always encouraged. Advance reservations require a $5 minimum donation.
