Warren County Wanderings

Starting July 28, 2021

“'The children danced off toward the wonderful music and the wonderful adventure and the wonderful excitement, into the wonderful midway where there would be no parents - and they could do as they pleased.'' - from Charlotte's Web by E. B. White

The midway and lots more is available for a weeklong wonderful adventure as the Warren County Farmers' Fair comes back for the 83rd edition after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic. And boy, are we ready to see everyone at Warren County's great get-together! Fred G Monster, the fearsome-looking green balloon pictured here, invades the Farmers' Fair on Saturday (opening day) and Sunday, then again on Wednesday, Friday, and closing day next Saturday, August 7. You know what else is back? The Shippen Manor Sunday Lawn Concerts, with the first one of the season featuring old favorites Kinderhook. And what's new? Buttzville Brewing Co. holds its Grand Opening this weekend! Plus, Tuesday is National Night Out, with lots of activities. There's plenty going on, so enjoy the summer weather, and Happy Wanderings!

Coming Up:

CSC Presents: Always- Patsy Cline

More than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963; it is based on a true story about Cline's friendship with a fan from Houston who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death. Complete with down home country humor, true emotion, and even some audience participation, this musical includes many of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams and Walking After Midnight - 27 songs in all.
