Marching Toward Spring 2026

“May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.”  - Irish Blessing

We are on the verge of Friday the 13th heading into St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Not sure what that portends, but we’re going to find out! In case anyone needs reminding, the 1980 American slasher film "Friday the 13th" was filmed in and around Blairstown, and many of the exterior settings can still be viewed. Check out these websites for Film Locations: Behind the Scenes and Then & Now Movie Locations.

Now, on to Saint Patrick and the arrival of spring! Celebrations are kicking off this weekend to get your Irish on, including the very entertaining Tartan Terrors at Centenary Stage. This issue features several eateries offering special menus and entertainment in honor of the patron saint of Ireland, but we’re willing to bet that just about any restaurant will be making a nod to the occasion one way or another, so get out there and see for yourselves!

Easter activities are upon us, and have their own separate page! The cute cover photo is from Flowerland Growers, where you can attend workshops and create your own special spring decorations.

And Jazz returns to Rutherfurd Hall! The first concert is March 22 but the Full Season Package for all seven shows is on sale. Roy's Hall welcomes back returning favorites James Maddock (March 21) and Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams (March 26).

Finally, the Warren County Grains & Grapes Trail's 2026 Passport Program continues. Request a passport at any of the 10 establishments on the trail, get it stamped at each location, and receive a custom canvas G&G tote bag! All who complete the trail have a chance to win the grand prize: a Yeti Tundra 35 cooler courtesy of LOST Goods and Gear of Belvidere and their partner store FOUND The Art of Home filled with $600 in gift cards, merch and stickers from all of the trail members, with a total value of $900! Details are here!

Happy Friday the 13th, Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Happy Spring and Happy Wanderings!
