Warren County Wanderings

Special Edition - Autumn Arrives!

"Autumn leaves don't fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.” - Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing

This special edition of Wanderings is inspired by the approaching Autumn Equinox and the simple fact that there is an abundance of events this time of year! Balloons will be soaring along with the leaves this weekend over Warren County. Explore Warren County Tourism Partnership sponsors both the Warren County Hot Air Balloons, Fun & Games Festival at the fields of WCCC and the Festival in the Borough just a hop, skip and jump down the road in Washington Borough! Make a day of it! Then it's curtain up time at Centenary Stage Company, kicking off its 2024-25 season with The Great American SOULbook.

Next weekend, Hackettstown BID hosts its annual two-day Oktoberfest. If your mind isn't blown yet, you will see there’s even more on tap! To celebrate, we are conducting another giveaway: A pair of tickets to the Balloon Fest, good for either day, which include free parking and a tethered balloon ride for two! Email Tourism@co.warren.nj.us with “I love festivals” in the subject line for a chance to win. Please include your name and the best phone number to contact you; and keep checking your email, because we will send the tickets to you electronically. We have several pairs to give away, so don’t be shy!

Happy Autumn Equinox and Happy Wanderings!
