Late Night Thursdays in Hackettstown
The Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) is bringing back Late Night Thursdays each week, July 9-September 24. Businesses will be encouraged to stay open until 8pm so that visitors can stroll through town, have a bite to eat, and do some shopping. Check back for updates; they hope to include activities for kids and/or adults, special tastings, live music and more.
Midsummer Herb Open House at Well-Sweep Herb Farm
This being an unusual year, Well-Sweep decided to merge its annual Open House and Midsummer Herb Festival into one big event: the Midsummer Open House! Lectures, tours and vendors will be available. This year's International Herb Association's Herb of the Year(TM) is Rubus, which includes both Raspberries and Blackberries.

Outdoor Event at David's Country Inn
Head to David's Country Inn for live music, great food and a fully stocked bar! No reservations required. Seating for approximately 85 people in the courtyard, and a large tent in case of a passing shower. This week's band is Flight Risk. Rain date: July 12.

Virtual Wine Cocktail Party
Throw a cocktail party on your porch! In these hot summer months, it is great to have recipes for cocktails that are unique, delicious and refreshing (plus safe enough to drink several!) as well as simple, easy-to-make appetizers.
Sign up for the event and Villa Milagro will ship you a bottle of Luz del Sol, a bottle of Casi Dulce, a few unusual ingredients, and a copy of the vineyard cookbook. Together you will make four different cocktails, and you are encouraged to prepare at least two appetizers.
United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey Presents: Interstellar Alchemy: The Stardust in Your Toothpaste
United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey (UACNJ) Observatory, located in Jenny Jump State Forest in Hope, NJ, begins holding public programs on July 11 with Al Witzgall. Al will discuss the origins of the chemical elements, their relationship to the presence of life, and how we are so closely related to it all.
A free astronomy talk followed by night sky viewing, weather permitting. Bring your interest and an open mind to be amazed at the sights in our night sky!
The Farmers Market at Rutherfurd Hall
This new Farm Market will run every 2nd & 4th Sunday to October 25, on the beautiful grounds of Rutherfurd Hall. In addition to vegetables, pork, beef, eggs, chicken from GrowingDirt.com, other co-vendors will participate throughout the season, and potentially musicians and food trucks as well.

Space artist, space animator, and author Lonny Buinis will take us star hopping around the August sky. The Milky Way spans the entire sky from south to north, but our a chance to see star birthplaces and clusters and the location of an invisible black hole is a bit marred by the full moon.

CSC Young Performers Workshop Online Summer Session Registration Deadline
Centenary Stage Company's critically acclaimed Young Performers Workshop is seeking new and returning applicants for the 2020 Summer Session, a special 5-week online program July 13 through August 16 that culminates with a week of online cabaret performances. Registration deadline is July 10. No experience is necessary but all new applicants must schedule a Zoom interview with program director Michael Blevins prior to registration.
