Spend an afternoon visiting the Jim and Mary Lee Museum (last chance until next April!) at Plane 9 West in the Port Warren Heritage Area, Stewartsville, and the Warren County History Museum at Morris Canal Bread Lock Park in New Village, too. Learn how the canal boats moved up and down the hills of northern New Jersey as they traversed the state from from Port Delaware – AKA Phillipsburg – to Jersey City. Walk the towpath trail, and learn about other aspects of Warren County's rich history, from the early Native Indians inhabitants to the Colonial-era iron industry, the Morris Canal era, the days when Thomas Edison was busy inventing and experimenting nearby, and more.
