Last weekend's blast of winter (captured beautifully by Cortney Torres in the photo of the Pequest River above) ushered in some frigid temperatures, but the mercury will return to normal by the weekend, so allow us to coax you out of hibernation mode by tempting you with the following events! It's not every day one can witness Maple Sugaring, take in some Irish music, and cheer on a St. Patrick's Day Parade, so let's go! Maple Sugaring at Millbrook Village

Visitors will be able to see and participate in the “sugaring” process from the tree to the table. Sap from Millbrook Village maples will be boiled down in cast iron kettles over an open fire to create maple syrup.  Woodstove and outdoor cooking demonstrations will showcase the use of maple products in recipes common during the 1800s.

McDermott’s Handy: An Irish Music Experience!
