Warren County Wanderings

Stars and Stripes July 2024

"Some of the best memories are made in flip-flops." - Kellie Elmore, American author

Summer is officially here! After kick-starting July with parades and fireworks to celebrate Independence Day, loads more family fun is in store. Just a sampling: Shippen Manor’s Summer Lawn Concert series opens July 7; Centenary Stage Company’s Summerfest continues with a production of Grease (and more); the county gears up for its bicentennial with a free concert event at Bread Lock Park; plus you’ll find a street fair, country line dancing, food trucks, cruise nights, yoga in the park (and vineyard) and more!

The last weekend of the month ushers in an annual highlight: the Warren County Farmers’ Fair & Hot Air Balloon Festival! Read that section of this newsletter carefully for an opportunity to win a Hot Air Balloon Ride for Two, or free week-long admission to the fair!

Many thanks to Christine Oleszek of Picture This! Photography (Blairstown), for this photo of the spiral American flag.

So slip into those flip-flops and get ready to make some lasting memories! Happy July, Happy Independence Day, and Happy Wanderings!
