The Blairstown Farmers' Market is now in its 10th season and accepts SNAP! The Market, located on Route 521 across from the Blairstown Elementary School next to the Agway, will run every Saturday from 10am-2pm through October 28th and feature a variety of local farmers, artisans, speakers, workshops, musicians and children’s activities. The market offers truly local food - all sourced within a 25 mile radius.
Welcome back will be vendors with everything from meat to cheese, abundant produce, artisan breads to fruit, eggs, baked goods, prepared foods and all of the fantastic products you have all come to love and rely on. Specialty products such as Southern- style cakes, prepared dinners, coffee, local cheeses, berries, and pickles of all variety, local honey, and so much more!
Special market events to take place on a weekly basis throughout the season will include cooking demonstrations, sample days, live music, children’s activities, and seasonal food celebrations.
The market is proud to be accepting EBT/SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) benefits this year. This means you will be able to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables that arrive more quickly and fresher than those transported long distances from other states and countries. Simply bring your EBT card to the table with the sign that says "SNAP/EBT accepted here" at the Foodshed tent. The Market Manager will swipe your card for the amount that you want and give you Market tokens that can be used to buy groceries from stands at the market.
