Kids from pre-k to elementary school are invited to join us in making a harvest-themed craft on the front lawn of the Manor. This is a rain or shine event. If it rains, we’ll be set up on the lower-level front porch. All children must be accompanied by their adult(s). Please dress for the weather. Admission is free. Museum is also open for self-guided tours of the main floor from 1-4pm. Handicap accessible parking and additional on-street parking (Washington Avenue) is available.
Shippen Manor
Shippen Manor is a c.1754 iron master’s residence built by Dr. William Shippen, Sr. The Shippens were socially prominent members of a wealthy Philadelphia family. The museum offers guided tours on the 1st and 2nd Sundays from May to December, except on holidays.
