Join RVC Trustee & Naturalist Dennis Briede for a hike to the top of the Raccoon Ridge Hawk Watch. Raccoon Ridge is the premier spot to observe the migrating hawks that pass through northern NJ on their way south. This will be at the peak migration for broad-winged hawks. Every year at this time thousands of these hawks can be seen passing by the ridge. Enjoy spectacular views. Bring lunch, water, binoculars & sturdy footwear. Meet at Ridge and Valley Conservancy to car pool to the Yards Creek Generating Station (Kaiser Trail) Parking Lot. From the parking lot in the back we will hike to the top of Raccoon Ridge.
