6:00pm to 7:00pm

Circling hands is the ideal exercise for people that do not have the time or space to practice a traditional Tai Chi form. Its simple movements are ideal for people with balance problems. Circling Hands uses gentle, smooth and repetitive motions, initially with the purpose of stretching the soft tissues and moving the fluids of the body, while releasing accumulated stress and tension.

In time and as you maintain your practice routine, the practice nourishes your body, thereby evolving Tai Chi Circling Hands into a sophisticated exercise system.

Regular practice of Tai Chi Circling Hands can:

    • Release shoulder, neck and back pain.
    • Improve balance and flexibility, alleviating arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome or repetitive strain injury (RSI).
    • Neutralize stress and release deeply stored tensions.
    • Open up the vascular system and increase blood flow, relieving tension in the heart and thereby normalizing blood pressure.
    • Improve digestion.
    • Energize and revitalize the internal organs.
Circling Hands weaves the horizontal (turning and twisting) and vertical (bending and stretching) planes of motion into one coherent whole. While practicing Circling Hands, you seek to remove all stops and starts, smoothing out glitches in your body, mind and chi, and tuning into the flow.

The circling action of the hands creates continuous motion, warming up the body (from increased blood flow), relaxing the mind and generating a generous supply of chi.4 session introduction to Circling Hands.
