Join us here at the farm with Olga Tzogas of Smugtown Mushrooms for a lecture on the basics of mushrooms and fungi, their biology and how they exist in nature. Learn how to use fungi to build up our soils, reduce erosion, supply us with food and even medicine.
A growing trend, cultivating mushrooms on logs and wood chips is becoming a standard for gardeners, woodlot owners, farmers and homesteaders. Come learn the principles of incorporating these permaculture practices. Additionally, you will create and take home your own inoculated log featuring Oyster Mushrooms. Visit Smugtown Mushrooms here.
