The veterans of The American Legion, Carl D. Archer Post 528 of White Township conduct a Recognition Day ceremony at the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action memorial, located at the Oscar Unangst Memorial Fields. The public is welcome to attend to show appreciation and gratitude for those men and women who have fought and were imprisoned as POWs.

This will be our fifth ceremony held since the dedication of the memorial.

The ceremony will honor former POWs, including a local POW who passed away this year, and include National POW/MIA Recognition day history, the history of the POW/MIA flag, the POW/MIA empty chair and the Missing Man table and Honors ceremony.

Participating in the ceremony will be local, county and state elected officials and members of Post 528.

Feel free to bring a chair and please maintain social distancing.
