Ever wonder what dropping a pumpkin from 75 feet would look like? Here’s your chance. Join us October 27 at the Washington Fire Department for the Pumpkin Drop Festival. There will be food trucks, a beer garden and a corn hole tournament. Fun activities for the kids including our annual costume parade. Entry is FREE! Only $10 per pumpkin and YOU will be able to drop it from the ladder truck. (18 and older to go on the truck and you must sign a waiver)
Also, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' Abbey Road album release by recreating the album cover from 2-4pm by walking across the street on the crosswalk at the corner of Belvidere Ave. and Church St. in Washington Borough. Cathy Miller Photography will be on hand to take your picture and a digital copy can be purchased for a fee of $5. Musical duo Janci & Berry will be playing nothing but Beatles songs on the front porch of the office of Michael Yates and Co., 101 Belvidere Ave. Get a group of 4 and dress like the Beatles, walk your dog, push a stroller, hold your Abby Road album; get creative and have some fun!
