Relax on a the lawn at Shippen Manor for a performance of The Hammers, one of Northern New Jersey's longest running rock 'n' roll bands, presented by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission. Formed in 1986, The Hammers features four distinctly different musicians: singer/guitarist/songwriter Ira Spinrad; bassist Dom Z; keyboardist/singer Jim Beckerman, and drummer Steve Buzbee. They made their formal recording debut with 2006's "Newark Fried Chicken."

Shippen Manor is located just west of Route 31 in Oxford. This free concert is presented by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission, supported by the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and is funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. Concerts at Shippen Manor are open to all, with limited reserved accessible parking and lavatories available.

Shippen Manor is a c.1754 iron master’s residence built by Dr. William Shippen, Sr. The Shippens were socially prominent members of a wealthy Philadelphia family. The museum offers guided tours on the 1st and 2nd Sundays from May to December, except on holidays.
