The Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission is happy to present Rave On in a free concert on the lawn of Shippen Manor. Rave On shows are high-energy performances of the best of rock & roll’s early years, putting a new twist on the timeless music of Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, and other rock ’n’ roll pioneers.
Rave On gets the audience rockin'! It’s the music that influenced today’s artists and continues to appeal to people of all ages. The audience can expect to hear Buddy Holly staples such as “Peggy Sue,” “Not Fade Away,” “It’s So Easy,” “That’ll Be the Day,” “True Love Ways,” “Maybe Baby” and more. Rave On Band is Chris Roselle on guitar and lead vocals, Pete Farley, bass guitar and vocals, and Don Guinta, drums and vocals.
Bring lawn chairs or a blanket, pack a picnic if you like, and relax and enjoy a variety of live musical performances all summer long on the lawn of Shippen Manor.
Shippen Manor
Shippen Manor is a c.1754 iron master’s residence built by Dr. William Shippen, Sr. The Shippens were socially prominent members of a wealthy Philadelphia family. The museum offers guided tours on the 1st and 2nd Sundays from May to December, except on holidays.
