Shippen Manor will be holding tours in September.

Sept. 1- Labor Day: The Industries & Mining of Oxford”. The museum will have photographs, documents and more in display that refer to the mining and industrial history of Oxford, NJ.
Sept. 8- The second installment of “On the Daily” will be in the lower level dining hall and kitchen (lower east porch door) featuring the topic “Early American Childhood.” In addition, weather-permitting, we will also have an 18th c. carpentry demonstration with Scott Lance outside along the lower drive.

Last tours of the main floor start at 3:30 pm.  Parking on-site is limited. If lots are full, please park in town and walk over. Shippen Manor

Shippen Manor is a c.1754 iron master’s residence built by Dr. William Shippen, Sr. The Shippens were socially prominent members of a wealthy Philadelphia family. The museum offers guided tours on the 1st and 2nd Sundays from May to December, except on holidays.
