WCCC Art Exhibit "Infinite Infinitesimal" by Ana Vizcarra Rankin

Wednesday, March 22, 2017 to Friday, March 31, 2017

Ana Vizcarra Rankin makes drawings, paintings and sculptures about travel and cartography, in both the literal and metaphorical sense.

And through March 31, her iconic works will be on display at Warren County Community College during public hours. The title of her exhibit is "Infinite Infinitesimal". WCCC is located on Route 57 in Washington Township. The College's art gallery is on the second floor.

Recently, Vizcarra Rankin has been studying historic star maps and contemporary images captured using powerful telescopes and other mediating technologies such as subatomic particle accelerator readouts. These images are transmuted into art that explores the phenomenological sense of being in and of the universe.

An Uruguayan American artist based in Philadelphia, Vizcarra Rankin, also an art instructor at WCCC, has exhibited extensively and received various awards.  Vizcarra Rankin holds an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and a BA in art history from Temple University. Her work resides in international, public, corporate and private collections.
