Upon arriving at the mine site your guide will tell you the story of Sylas Smith and how he found the mine and about his tragic death which left the mind uncovered until this very year! Next you will walk over the the Ole' Susquehanna mines operating sluice and learn how to pan for gem stones. once you understand how to pan give it a try and see if you can find some gems. The mine is available every weekend May through October on the 11:00am, 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm trips. In October the Mine is available on the 3:30 train as well.

After a Train ride along the Delaware and a short bus ride through rolling farmlands, you will arrive at Villa Milagro Vineyards There, you will learn how grapes are grown and made into wine then sample their delicious wines and have an opportunity to purchase them at the source. Once that is done, they will let you know when the bus has come back to pick you up and bring you back to the train, so no worries about being left behind!

The first wine train of the season returns! Turn the clock back to a time when steam engines pulled passenger cars along idyllic miles of train tracks through quaint hamlets and farmland to an awaited destination. Board the train for a trip along the banks of the Delaware River to visit our winery. A short ride on a bus brings you up the hill, 200 feet above and overlooking the Delaware, to the vineyard. There you will learn how grapes are grown using minimal inputs and other sustainable and conservation practices. Then into the winery to learn how grape juice is transformed into wine.

You will see and learn about the equipment of wine making, crushers-destemmers, presses, pumps, tanks, barrels and bottling lines. You will learn how artisan, hand-crafted wines are made. Then into the tasting room to sample our wines paired with hot hors d'oeuvres.
