Are you a 3-season hiker who is considering expanding into winter activities this year? This is your chance to learn about clothing, equipment, and safety issues that go beyond 3-season conditions. The weekend event at the Applachian Mountain Club's Mohican Outdoor Center includes at least two hikes, of varying lengths and difficulty levels, each day. Snowshoe and traction device rentals will be available if needed. Cost includes Friday and Saturday lodging, casual Friday dinner buffet 6-8 p.m., breakfast and a trail lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and Saturday dinner. Bring your own adult beverages, and a water bottle for hiking.
Costs start at $179 for an AMC member, $193 non-member.
